I also thought that it was about time to post some Saskatoon recipes!
If you still have saskatoons in your freezer, time to pull them out and make a pie to remind you of all the yummy summer berries!
Here is our ‘Go To” saskatoon pie recipe. We don’t just share it with anyone!Saskatoon Pie

pie recipe for saskatoon berries, juneberries, serviceberries
3 ½ cups of Saskatoon berries
1 Tbsp. Minit Tapioca
juice of half a lemon
½ cup of sugar
2 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. butter
Simmer berries, water and lemon juice for about 10 minutes. Add sugar, tapioca, and butter. Cool and put in a 9 inch double crust pie. Preheat oven to 450 and cook for 10 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350 and cook for 25 minutes.
If you are not a domestic diva..here is my personal hint..I use Pillsbury Pie crusts. In the refrigerator section of your grocery store.. But it is a trade secret..so don’t tell…
